Customizing your trip with the Altoona Ridge Lodge is easy. The Altoona Ridge Lodge prides itself in providing its customers only the finest, making your trip even more memorable and enjoyable. We provide you with the opportunity to customize your Self Guided Trips or Fully Inclusive Backcountry Experiences - fitting your needs and requirements.

Western Montana is where we live and play and know our way around. Our large community can help you create the trip of a life time to Montana. We know the best places to go eat, sleep, ski, hike and play on your way to the Lodge, and specialize in being your personal concierge as your adventure comes to life.

TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS

We will work with you to create your trip to the lodge. We will make all the phone calls and do the digging for you from here.

Whether you want to drive or fly, we will work with you every step of the way to make sure your adventure starts when you leave your home and doesn't end stop until you get back.

GEAR AND EQUIPMENT

There are many local shops in the area that can furnish you with any gear you don’t bring with you. Our Event Coordinator will work with you during the planning of your trip to make sure that everything you may need is accounted for. Montana does not have a sales tax, making your purchases less expensive here.

RENTALS

If you need special gear while at the lodge, such as skis, snowshoes, snowmobiles, or other equipment, we will arrange for your gear to be waiting for you. We work with all the local ski shops, snowmobile/quad stores, outfitting gear stores, and every other store in the area, and we also negotiate you the best rates.

We can arrange guided trips, including rafting, horseback riding, fly fishing trips, or any other excursion you might want to explore during your time on the frontier.

If you wish to partake in other local activities, we arrange it all for you. There is a lot going on in Western Montana, and people come from far and wide to play here.

FOODS/MEALS

We live by our stomachs first, and eating is a big component of your stay at The Lodge.

All meals at the lodge are prepared from scratch, and served family-style. Please let us know of any allergies, food preferences, or dietary restrictions your party may have. We strive to provide the highest quality food available, and we use primarily organic and locally-produced products.

The Western Montana area between Missoula and Philipsburg is home to many specialties, micro-breweries, wines, bison, coffeehouses, home made ice cream, and bakeries.

We will provide you with a sample menu of the meals for your trip when you contact us. We are flexible to your wants; and one of our core philosophies is a happy stomach is connected to a happy person.
