Join us at Altoona Ridge Lodge, for our all inclusive Level 1 Avalanche Course.

 

Study in the field with top level professional skiers who will show you how the snow and the mountains work.

    You will learn everything you need to know about avalanches while honing your skills in the backcountry, and learn how to operate safely in the backcountry, You will also learn how to make proper decisions based on the knowledge and information you have available at hand, in order to have a safe and fun excursion into the backcountry. See first hand and learn in the terrain that you will be getting out and enjoying!

This trip is all inclusive.

*All meals, snacks, lodging, course work, skiing, amenities, the sauna, and transportation from the Princeton parking lot are included.*

  • Arrive early on Friday morning (optional Thursday night arrival available) to the Princeton parking lot
  • Transportation to the Lodge is by snowmobile
  • The course begins after you get situated
  • You will spend all 3 days between course work in the Lodge and out in the filed skiing
  • We will spend over 70% of the days in the field, analyzing snow conditions, performing beacon tests, and skiing
  • The class will end with receiving your certification on Sunday afternoon
  • 3 days, small groups, all inclusive
  • All details, a list of what to bring, and maps will be sent to you at sign up

$425 - per person all inclusive - teaching, room, board, snowmobile transport from Princeton, MT to ARL.
