Christmas Family Vacation

Dec 16 to 30th 2009

This trip is self supported, $4950, plus the cost of food. This is an exclusive by Reservation ONLY trip.

For a maximum group of 8 people.

Enjoy the wilds of Montana, in the secluded wilderness of the Flint Creek Mountains of Western Montana, with your family and friends during the most important holiday of the year. Be in a magical environment where there will be no distractions.

This trip requires previous knowledge of the lodge and how it works by at least one member of the party. one member of the part must have medical knowledge.

We will pre-stock the Lodge with the food of your choice for you. We will shuttle your gear up the mountain for you, and we will guide you in. We will make sure that you are fully equiped and ready for this event.

Your guide will stay with you for the first day. The guide will be there to orient you and your family, get you set up, and make sure that you have everything that you need. The guide will take you on a Christmas tree cutting adventure through the forest, you will get to find the tree of your dreams and decorate it in the Lupine Chalet. A solar panel will provide electricity to the tree lights.

A guide is available if you would like to have some one at the Lodge with you during your stay. The guide will take you out on adventures, help with day to day activities and chores (chopping and stocking wood, shoveling the snow, etc). There is a daily charge for the service. A chef is available to prepare your meals, there is a daily charge for the service. Alcohol can be purchased for you, there is an extra charge plus the cost of the alcohol. Hunting

Hunting camps at the Altoona Ridge Lodge are the lap of luxury. We are open for bow season, from September 1 to the end of October. And for rifle season from the end of October to the end of November.

Please check our calendar on the "contact us page" for the dates as they change every year.

After your day of hunting come back to the lodge to a warm shower, a sauna, and family style gourmet meals prepared by your host. We cannot offer you a guiding service to hunt, what we do offer is access right in the thick of the action.

The lodge sits in the middle of acres of National Forest Land where you can hunt for miles in all directions. There are roads in all directions to get you there. We are in Montana hunting area 212, an area that has historically harvested the largest Elk in the state. There are also Moose, Whitetail Deer, Mule Deer, Black Bear, and upland birds roaming in all the necks of the woods.

Your stay at the lodge is exclusive to your group. If you wish to have a hunting guide we can contact a local Outfitter from the Montana Outfitters Association and get you in touch with them.

All hunters, in state and out of state must abide by the state hunting regulations. Please refer to the Montana Hunting Regulations provided by the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks.

Hunting camps are a hosted activity at the Altoona Ridge Lodge. We ask you to keep your groups to 6 people max. The camps are fully inclusive. Cost is $125 per person per night. We require a 3 night minimum stay. Please contact us for more details.

Men's Boot Camp

MEN'S BOOT CAMP:
Altoona Lakes Basin



Spend the days hiking the mountain, hearing the Elks bugle, enjoy the fall colors, low temperatures, see Montana in the fall when everybody else is at work.

At night enjoy the sauna, hot showers, hearty meals, the fire ring, drinking beer, and smoking cigars. Get some ski swag.

October 2010 - This is a Mens only camp.

October 2 - 8, 2010 and October 16 - 22, 2010 - two weeks available

Open to 8 men by reservation only.

From Saturday to Saturday, the stay is all inclusive. Get up and get out, build the ski muscles that you will be using this winter, while helping to enhance the ski terrain you will be getting face shots on the next winter.

Get in shape at altitude. Share time with your ski buddies. Make new friends. See and learn the terrain you ski with out snow on it. Brush up on your terrain skills, team building skills.

Everybody gets to lead a group, learn the most needed skills of a leader, and get constructive feed back from their peers about their abilities.

Purchase your trip before July 1, 2010 and you will get $150 off on the trip of your choice the winter of 2010/2011. The coupon must be used by May 31, 2011.

You will also get a special invitation to the Altoona Ridge Lodge Guide Get Away hosted in January 2011. The trip is only available for eight people to participate, and is only available to those who attended the Men's Boot Camp. Three days two nights in the steep and deep with the folks who know the area the best. (Your are only responsible for your share of the food cost, and travel to the Lodge).

Boot camp cost $750 per person. 7 days/ 6 nights, all inclusive, includes all your meals, snacks, and lodging. The trip is only available to 8 people. Two separate weeks are available.
